At IDEA, Andritz is presenting state-of-the-art production processes for the hygiene and nonwovens industry. The company offers air-through bonding, spunlaid, spunjet, spunlace and Wetlace nonwovens lines as well as converting technologies and corresponding services.

In the spunlace market, Andritz is noticing a trend toward decreasing weight per square meter by maintaining a high MD and CD tensile strength. Andritz spunlace nonwovens may achieve weights of 25 gsm and below for ultralight fabrics featuring web uniformity of excellent quality.

Also at IDEA, Andritz offered technology with a high degree of flexibility to produce many types of wipes including dispersible, biodegradable, eco-friendly and more.

On the hygiene side of the business, Andritz's Diatec division, which was acquired last year, offered a comprehensive lineup of machinery for the production of baby diapers, adult products and food pads.
